Rossola (Rossola Nera) A native grape variety of the Valtellina, which is part of the blend used to produce classic Valtellina wines (accounting for approximately 5% of the total grapes). Rossola lends a light colour to the wines, a good acidity and a fruit-rich aroma. The grape variety is rather rustic and is very resistant to late cold spells in spring. The vine is vigorous and fertile, while its grapes have a high acidity. It is prone to botrytis and powdery mildew. The average weight of the bunch is 200/220 g.
